She moves through the world wrapped in layers that speak louder than she’s allowed to. Fabric expands, folds, exaggerates until her body becomes shape, volume, surface. Something to look at, not someone to know. Inside, there is more loud thoughts, sharp edges, suppressed resistance. A self that doesn’t fit the silhouette imposed on it.
They see what covers her. They name what they can grasp. They stop there. But beneath the excess, beneath the noise of appearance, she remains untranslated, uncontained.
